We are a Malaysian company crafting rich and creamy greek yogurt based on our traditional secret recipe.
Made from active live cultures with added probiotics – Bifidobacterium lactis Bb12® and Lactobacillus acidophilus La-5®, our yogurt makes for a healthy and delicious snack.
Message from the Founder, Naresh!
When you grow up in an Indian family, eating yogurt is just a way of life. We make it at home all the time, and it’s our delicious family tradition.
I’ve always had yogurt for breakfast in the mornings and particularly liked Greek style yogurt because of its thick and smooth texture. As a recent grandmother of 2, my grandchildren also love eating yogurt. But I’d always have a tough time deciding which one to buy whenever I wasn’t making it myself.
Most of the yogurts did not taste like the yogurt we made at home, and are often way too sweet. The ingredients lists are also way longer than it should be, with thickeners, flavours and lots of other stuff added to the yogurt.
Good products do exist on shelves, but those come with a hefty price tag and are all almost always imported. I just could not find any brand of yogurt that I really liked and considered actually healthy, for me or my family.
That’s when I took things into my own hands and started making my own Greek-Style yogurt and decided that it should be made as simple as possible, without any artificial stuff. I started giving away my homemade yogurt to friends, relatives and colleagues in the office and they were happy to give their feedback.
They all loved the yogurt and kept asking for more. Their positive feedback encouraged me to start selling good quality and healthy yogurt. Thus started this journey and SanJeja was born!
SanJeja Today
Our artisan yogurt comes to you handmade and hand packed with love and care you can taste. We prepare our yogurt in a separate yogurt making facility to meet customers demand and hope to introduce tasty yogurt to all Malaysians.
Our process in creating this healthy snack is simple. With high quality fresh milk available, we make a supremely thick, protein packed Greek yogurt by straining off most of the whey. Next we source for local tropical fruits which are in season as the topping for the yogurt. In one convenient cup, we strive to give you the ultimate delicious snack and best way to start your day.
Today SanJeja is available online (Grab) and through our physical store located at Ooak Suites, Mont Kiara, open 10am to 7pm daily (except Mondays) and is accessible through the 163 Retail Park here in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
As a small boutique type operation, SanJeja’s advantages are in its innovative spirit, flexibility, adaptability and above all in the personal touch in which we treat all our customers, large and small.
